Larkin Stadium Update + Homecoming Game
As we begin the start of the 2026-2027 school year, there is much excitement in the air at Larkin High School! For those who have not heard, construction has been going on our new stadium since early March, in which we will be able to host all of our varsity athletic events! The inaugural game will be held on Friday, October 2nd, where the Larkin Royals will take on the Streamwood Sabres at the Royals Athletic Complex on Ray Haley Field. Not only will this be the inaugural game at Larkin it will also be homecoming, where we expect many alumni to attend from over years past. Thursday, October 1st
4:00 - 5:30 - Royals Athletic Complex Ribbon Cutting. Join us as we open our complex and hear from various people on the importance and joy that this complex will bring to the Royal community. Those who attend will also be able to walk around the complex to see the long awaited area and all features of it. Light refreshments and snacks will be served.
Friday, October 2nd
4:30 - Freshman/Sophomore football game
6:30 - Football alumni recognition. Our announcer will go through each class and you will you walk across the field. At the end we will do a large picture. If you would like to participate in this please complete the Alumni/Homecoming form (if you haven’t already).
7:00 - Varsity football game - Once the game has started, Larkin alumni football players will have the option to sit behind the east end zone to enjoy the game where food and soft drinks will be served.
Ray Haley Field - Ray Haley was the first football coach and a long time athletic director at Larkin. His history of putting students and athletes first with all his decisions is well documented. He was an essential figure in the early days of Larkin and developed the foundation of what it means to be a Royal on and off the field. We are proud and honored to have our field named after him.
